Lesson Four – Fruit Cocktails

This curriculum topic teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to practise following and sorting a set of instructions about how to use water when making some different drinks at home for members of a family to enjoy.

The class can explain and model how to produce their own drinks by mixing some different fruit juices with ice cubes to make a cocktail to drink to taste and review.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to practise sorting instructions about making a fruit cocktail drink into the correct order and a template to record some of the different fruits that can be used to make a range of fruit cocktail drinks.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to follow and sort a set of instructions about how to use water for drinking when at home.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to investigate and describe different sources and uses of water at home by families to understand its importance in the world.
